Great Granny Elliot stands outside the cash office of Wilds Coal Merchant of Stockport Rd in 1928 The Banana man Gt. Granny again only this time at the rear of Wilds (now C&C builders merchant) St James Terrace, Hollins lane can be seen over the fields in the background
The Bowling Club (probably Marple Liberal Club) one man is holding a Brabyns Military Hospital collecting box which dates it to 1914-18. A badly damaged but never the less tremendous photo of haymaking at Chapel House Farm. Interestingly every one on the photo is named at the top. Marple Bridge Home Guard take a break on Oldknow Road, Marple.

I'm assured this is a Marple team. (The ball has '1907 FEGG HAYES FC 'on it, anyone got any ideas?) The Wild family and their new car 1927. Another good football photo, check out the faces (including the one in the window).
