A very early view of Market Street, at its junction with Stockport Road. The same view, this time jumping right forward to about the 30's And again, this time at about the turn of the century.

This picture of Stockport Road at its junction with Market Street shows clearly how Hollins Mill dominated the village centre

 A slightly fuzzy view of the Jolly Sailor Bus Terminus.
Looking past the Bowling Green pub towards Stockport. Rose Hill Station looking up the line towards Middlewood. The severe winter of 1947 brings chaos to the trains at Rose Hill Station - You can just make out the chimney of the Railway pub in the background.
